Festival opening with Kent Nagano

The Philharmonic State Orchestra and General Music Director Kent Nagano will open the digital edition of the Hamburg International Music Festival on May 6 with what is probably the most famous symphony of all: Beethoven's Fifth meets a world premiere by the Swiss composer William Blank. Kent Nagano on the current situation

Dear music lovers, dear audience, dear citizens of Hamburg, if our concerts, opera and ballet performances can unfortunately not take place as planned, we still continue to rehearse for you! The spirit of music only lives when it is shared with the audience, with you: our family.
