The 193rd concert season

The Philharmonic begins its new season with Kent Nagano in August 2020 with a great open-air concert on Hamburg's Rathausmarkt. Further highlights: the opening concert of the International Hamburg Music Festival in April 2021 and a concert honouring Klaus-Michael Kühne. In addition, the orchestra interprets classical and late-romantic repertoire, juxtaposing them with contemporary pieces, including world premieres by Toshio Hosokawa, Matthew Ricketts and Sean Shepherd. Guest artists include Ingo Metzmacher, Klaus Florian Vogt, Nikolai Lugansky and Veronika Eberle. Read more...
